We provide total Aviation English testing and training solutions for ICAO compliance.
With extensive international experience working with the aviation industry, we understand the complexities of testing and training personnel globally. Our Aviation English courses are designed to assist aviation personnel, particularly pilots and air traffic controllers, meet the ICAO Language Proficiency Requirements.
Working in partnership with international industry and aviation institutions to offer specialist training programs to the aviation industry, our centres are located around the world, including Saudi Arabia, China, Russia and Netherlands, with corporate headquarters located in Melbourne, Australia, opposite the main campus of RMIT University.
All courses are developed with input from QANTAS Airways, and Air Services Australia, Australia's air navigation service provider. The RMIT Aviation English materials consist of non-routine air-ground communication scenarios and other work-related aviation language contexts to help participants develop English language skills that are directly related to their needs.
RMIT English Language Test for Aviation (RELTA)
RMIT English Language Test for Aviation (RELTA) is an English language test designed to assess pilots, air traffic controllers and light aircraft pilots for licensing purposes, as required by the ICAO Language Proficiency Requirements. RELTA uses aviation scenarios to reliably and effectively measure English language skills in both face-to-face and radiotelephony communication.

Beyond Level 4
Our latest training product, Beyond Level 4, is an innovative online e-learning package that develops high level language skills for aviation professionals, ensuring that language proficiency is maintained between ICAO English Language Proficiency tests. Designed to minimise the impact on work/training schedules, the course allows participants to study independently in their own time or in group sessions wherever they have a computer connected to the internet. Completed tasks are submitted to a database so that performance can be monitored by instructors. Performance reports are generated which then inform instructor-led sessions, allowing participants to receive feedback and customised language support.
